I’m a little distracted. I lost my wallet yesterday. It happened somewhere between getting on the bus (had to show my pass) and home.
Yeah, argh.
And yet a part of me thinks: I’m so glad it wasn’t my phone.
I’m not sure why, cause it’s not like the contents of my wallet are going to be cheap to replace. And nobody’s turned in my wallet to save me the trouble. It’s probably sitting in the bottom of a dumpster, empty of my $7.38.
FORTUNATELY (what is this word, anyway) I have been in the habit of carrying a wallet because a purse has too much possible stuff to lose. Much easier to just carry a tiny with the things I need day to day (bank cards, bit o’ cash, bus pass, etc.). So at the very least, I’ve still got stuff to prove I am who I say I am and therefore I can replace everything.
Unfortunately, I’m now trying to remember all the little things that were in there and have to be replaced, besides approximately $7 and my bank cards. My library card comes to mind. My grocery points card. I think I had a couple membership cards… these are the things that are killing me.
It’s hard to think of posts when I’m sitting here calling around places cancelling and reordering things…
Wish me luck.
Aw, that sucks, Anne! Maybe it’ll get back to you – I’ll cross my fingers.
Maybe! Probably not. As it is, I’ve already called and had replacements sent for almost everything except my DL and Costco membership. I’m gonna start carrying cash and one card and leave everything at home ๐ But thanks for the fingers crossed ๐
Bummer, hopefully, someone will return it. Never know there are some good people still left in this world. ๐
