10 Minute Fettucini Alfredo (It’s Real, Dude!)

February 23, 2015 By Food Retro

10 Minute 3 Ingredient Easy Fettucini AlfredoToday’s recipe title is brought to you by my six year old son. I think, with a little practice, he’ll be as good as I am at this.

Since I’m still catching up with holiday backlog, I’m again going to direct you to one of my relatively recent recipes on Dinner – It’s Not Rocket Science. But fear not, this one’s good, and for all the best reasons (I love Italian food).

I can’t quite figure out why anybody buys the jar of Alfredo sauce though. Italian’s practically the original fast food.

Your average jar of store-bought Alfredo sauce has like 10-15 ingredients, and at least half of them are thickeners and preservatives. REAL Alfredo sauce, at heart, is just THREE ingredients: butter, cream, cheese. Toss in a few seasonings like pepper and nutmeg, and you’re good to go.

It takes, literally, just a few minutes to make. Find out how to make the most awesome pasta dish that you can have from pot to table in about 10 minutes flat over on my blog on YMC:

    So yummy!

You are right about the list of ingredients. Why do I buy anything jarred?

    One day I’ll learn.
